In the gritty backdrop of Betalgadh, a city now infamous as India's drug distribution epicenter, Laxmi's life intertwines with a dangerous underworld she never intended to enter. A brilliant but downtrodden woman, Laxmi struggles to keep her dysfunctional family afloat amidst financial crises, societal judgment, and her husband Milan's dashed dreams of owning a home. Her life takes a sharp turn when she stumbles upon two mysterious sacks of dried leaves-hidden loot left behind by fleeing gangsters during a police chase. Initially clueless about the nature of her find, Laxmi's curiosity and innate math skills reveal the immense value of the stash: marijuana. Desperation pushes her to consider using the contraband as a means to escape her family's cycle of poverty and humiliation. Meanwhile, the ruthless drug lord Vikram Kandpal hunts for his lost goods, leaving a trail of blood and terror.
